Atlantic was founded in 1988 by David Beach (we’re actually Northwind Enterprises, Inc. dba Atlantic) in Cleveland, OH as a modular display distributor. Shortly thereafter, the company moved to the Washington, DC area. Over the next twenty-five years, we expanded throughout the mid-Atlantic region and now have offices in Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD, Richmond, VA, Washington, DC (headquarters) and Front Royal, VA (Service Operations Center).
We like to say that our clients deserve the credit for our business planning, and it’s true. When they asked us for better quality, faster graphics, we began to make our own. When they asked us for custom components and exhibits, we started fabricating them. The same can be said for our expansion into corporate interiors, installation and dismantle, global event management, and even shipping and logistics.
Today, Atlantic is a marketing firm devoted to maximizing organizational performance through events and experiential environments. We specialize in event strategy and implementation, exhibit design and production, corporate interior design and build, program management and logistics.
Yes, we do that. We could go on and on, but here is a brief overview of our core competencies:
- In-house experiential design
- Custom exhibit fabrication
- Large format graphic manufacturing
- Portable/modular exhibits
- Rental exhibits
- Asset and Program Management
- International event management
- Integrated marketing services
- Strategy and performance consulting
- Promotions and Ad specialties

Though most of our client base resides in the US, they go to exhibitions all over the world. We have a proven track record of executing events on nearly every continent (know any good shows in Antarctica?). Any firm can put some ‘dots’ on a map; we can actually show you the passports to prove it.
Domestically, it’s unusual for us not to have staff on site at multiple events every day. We have extensive experience at every major trade show venue and many we’re sure you will never visit. In Washington, DC and Baltimore, our technicians have union credentials and actually perform work. In all other venues, we’ve developed labor relationships that meet our high standards for workmanship and customer service.
In addition to our physical footprint in the mid-Atlantic, we have warehouse space in Las Vegas and Orlando – and can offer temporary storage just about anywhere.
